**Long-Term GP Locum Opportunity – Maternity Leave Cover**

**Oakfield Street Surgery, Ystrad Mynach**

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic GP locum to provide maternity leave cover from **November 2026 until Summer 2027**.

**Sessions:**

* **4 sessions per week**
* **Tuesdays and Fridays**

**The role will include:**

* Routine and urgent GP clinics
* A fair share of on-call duties
* A fair share of prescription signing
* Working as part of our friendly and supportive clinical team

We are a well-established, welcoming practice with an experienced multidisciplinary team and supportive administrative staff. We are looking for someone who is a good team player and able to provide continuity of care during this maternity leave period.

5 session maternity cover from October 2026 - July 2027 Wednesday full day, Thursday full day, Friday morning. Occasional Friday afternoons in place of a Wednesday/Thursday afternoon.

4-6 Session Salaried GP required for a 19,000-patient practice.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly, high-performing team on a 6-month fixed-term basis, working 6 sessions per week.

Salaried GPs wanted

2 to 6 sessions per week available
(For 6 sessions either: Mon, Weds, Fri or Tues, Weds, Fri or Weds, Thurs, Fri)
Newly qualified Doctors considered

Pay Per Session: Starting from £11,500 depending on experience

• Mix of same-day and routine appointments
• 1 x on-call session once a month
• House calls as required.
• We use EMIS Web and AccuRx Total Triage

We are a friendly and supportive GP training practice who promote multidisciplinary working. We currently have 6 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 3 Healthcare Assistants, 4 Pharmacists, 1 Cluster Pharmacist, 1 Mental Health Practitioner and 2 Physiotherapists. We have a patient list size of approximately 15,500 patients.
